AGO Outsourcing has announced that it’s creating nearly 500 new jobs in East Kilbride as part of a £40 million five-year investment, after securing a contract with a blue-chip energy firm.

The roles will be made up of over 380 customer service jobs commencing in 2018, along with 90 roles in the company’s sales division, starting from July 2017.

Speaking about the new roles, AGO Outsourcing said that it showed the Scottish jobs market remained in “good shape”.

“This announcement could not have come at a better time for this sector, and I’m delighted that East Kilbride has been selected as the hosting location,” said Denise Cassidy, contact centre operations manager.

“The site is state-of-the-art, and the operation will, without doubt, be a very desirable opportunity for many people.

“Many years ago, the contact centre industry left a lot to be desired, however Ago Outsourcing have developed something special here. The investment in the facility, the technology and most importantly our people, will guarantee long term and a bright future for all involved.”
