Site Group is looking to recruit over 300 new staff for its Plymouth facility after landing a major contract.

The jobs, on a short-term contract initially, will commence through to February, although Sitel has stressed that “other opportunities’ are likely to arise for staff through 2018.

The company already employs over 500 people working from its base at the Ship, Derriford.

A Sitel spokesperson said: “There will be 300 jobs, people will be starting in January or February. We are recruiting now.

“It is a short-term contract but we hope to continue to offer new opportunities throughout the year.”

The company currently offers customer support for department chain John Lewis. The new contract is with a FTSE 100 company.

Site Group was founded in 1985. It has over 150 offices in 24 countries with revenues in excess of $1.7 billion.
